According to preliminary data, Makmal field will be put up for competition by November 1, 2018. The Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of Kyrgyzstan Suyuntbek Alikeyev told today at a press conference.
According to him, about 200-300 million soms are needed for additional exploration of the two sections of the field. Kyrgyzaltyn JSC has no such funds. Therefore, it was decided to put up the field for a tender to create a joint venture with an investor.
«Now we are working on the conditions of the competition. As soon as they are approved, we will announce a competition,» told Suyuntbek Alikeyev.
Production at Makmal field was stopped on September 1, 2018. The reason was complete depletion of the mine.
