The operational staff of the State Security Service Department for Andijan region detained three residents of one of the districts bordering Kyrgyzstan.
They tried to smuggle $ 5.3 million by a car into Kyrgyzstan.
A criminal case was opened. The detainees face up to eight years in prison for cash smuggling.
