Kyrgyzstan is ready to export surplus electricity. The State Committee of Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use informed 24.kg news agency.
Currently, there are negotiations with China and Uzbekistan. According to the forecasts on water inflow rates, Kyrgyzstan can export up to one billion kilowatt-hours.
Uzbekistan has already expressed interest in purchase of electricity. The parties are ready to sign the agreement in mid-June. Without damage to the country, it is possible to export 500 million kilowatt-hours. The cost is still unknown. Earlier, Kyrgyzstan sold electricity to Uzbekistan for 2.4 cents.
