The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to begin the procedure of the official withdrawal of the country from the constituent bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States. RIA Novosti reported.
«I would like to ask the government to jointly prepare proposals on the official termination of our participation in the constituent bodies of the CIS, as well as on the final closure of the Ukrainian representation office at the relevant institutions in Minsk,» Petro Poroshenko said at the 11th Kiev Security Forum.
He added that «all the international treaty framework concluded by Ukraine within CIS should be inventoried for compliance with the national interests of the country.»
