Kyrgyz businessmen ask EEC to assess Kazakhstan’s actions

Business associations of Kyrgyzstan ask the Eurasian Economic Commission to assess the actions or inactions of the competent authorities of Kazakhstan, which entailed restrictions on the freedom of movement of goods and cargoes through the border with Kazakhstan. The President of the Association of Markets, Enterprises of Trade and Services Sergey Ponomarev told today at a press conference.

According to him, domestic businessmen wrote a letter to the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan.

Representatives of the business community of the Kyrgyz Republic ask for assistance in removing the restrictions imposed by Kazakhstan on certain state border checkpoints and on restoring the previous control regime.

Domestic businessmen appealed to the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov with a request to resolve the issue of releasing the affected entrepreneurs from payment of taxes and other mandatory social contributions from the beginning of the actions until the end of the force majeure. People also ask the head of the Cabinet for support and assistance.
