Traffic jam of over 150 vehicles forms on Kazakh-Uzbek border

More than 150 vehicles have accumulated on the Kazakh-Uzbek border. Zakon.kz reported with reference to the official representative of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Zhumanbai.

The main reason is a significant increase in the number of vehicles traveling to Uzbekistan. The vehicles stand at B. Konusbaev checkpoint.

«At least 40 out of the vehicles, transporting goods from China to Uzbekistan, have no Uzbek permission forms from third countries. At the same time, this year the exchange of forms in the amount of 1,200 was carried out, 1,187 of which were issued to Kazakh carriers, and only 498 were used,» Murat Zhumanbai said.

Representatives of the Transport Committee find out the reasons for the situation. Similar problems were observed at the Kazakh-Russian border, at Syrym checkpoint in Zelenovsky district as well as on the border of Kazakhstan with Kyrgyzstan.
