Farid Niyazov: Presidential elections are tough and competitive

«These are tough and competitive elections, probably, for the first time in the history of Kyrgyzstan,» Farid Niyazov, head of the campaign headquarters of the presidential candidate Sooronbay Jeenbekov, told reporters today.

«The elections are held in organized, democratic way and generally within the law. There are, of course, complexities, as well as cases of violations. They are recorded. The most important of our opponents is the bribery of voters. There are such attempts. They are registered and information on them is transferred to territorial commissions and to the police. Criminal liability is provided for bribery,» Farid Niyazov said.

Presidential elections take place in Kyrgyzstan today.
