The CEC reports that it refused to register 20 presidential candidates.
According to the election commission, 15 of them didn’t pass the signature sheets within the period established by law. Five more applicants for the presidential post didn’t submit a certificate of passing the test of knowledge of the state language. Thus, 28 candidates left.
Of these, 24 people submitted signature sheets to their support. Within 10 days the working group of the CEC should check their reliability.
To date, four already registered candidates — Temir Sariev, Omurbek Babanov, Sooronbai Jeenbekov and Bakyt Torobayev.
