Moscow welcomes Almazbek Atambayev with heavy rain

The state visit of Almazbek Atambayev to Russia began with heavy rain. There was heavy rain during the meeting of the high guest at Vnukovo Airport.

The President of Kyrgyzstan arrived in Moscow as part of his state visit. The head of state was met by an honor guard of three types of the armed forces of the Moscow garrison. At the ramp of the plane Almazbek Atambayev was welcomed by the head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Vladimir Bulavin, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Krasin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Kyrgyzstan Andrey Krutko and Director of the Department of State Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Yuri Filatov.

The national anthems of the two states were performed by the orchestra in the rain. The main events within the framework of the state visit will start today. On June 20, Almazbek Atambayev has a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and opening of days of culture of Kyrgyzstan in Russia.
