Mufti of Kyrgyzstan calls to prayer in US Catholic Church

A man in a white ak-kalpak who called to prayer in a Catholic church in the US turned out to be a mufti from Kyrgyzstan. The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of the country reported.

According to it, the Mufti Maksat Toktomushev visited America in early April at the invitation of the US Department of State in the framework of events for the exchange of experience and dialogue between religious organizations.

«Yes, he called to prayer, but it was within the program of the event. That is, representatives of religious organizations had to show something from their religion. And azan is exactly the call to prayer," the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan explained.
