According to Turkish media, the attack began with an explosion at the entrance to the plant in Kahramankazan district. According to preliminary information, a suicide bomber set off the explosives. Then an armed group entered the territory of the enterprise.
It is reported that the terrorists arrived in a taxi, among them was a woman. After the first explosion, some of the attackers broke into the plant and took hostages. The second explosion occurred on the territory of the enterprise, after which a shootout began.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey reported that five people were killed in the attack. Twenty-two people were injured, three of whom are in serious condition. According to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, all the terrorists who entered the plant have been neutralized.
