Pensions have been increased in Kyrgyzstan from October 1. Their minimum size will be 6,900 soms.
As the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers states, the insurance part was instructed to be increased by 18 percent, but not less than by 1,000 soms. The total size of pensions that are below 6,900 soms will be raised to the minimum subsistence level (6,900 soms. — Note of 24.kg news agency).
It should be noted that in June, President Sadyr Japarov held a meeting devoted to the issues of increasing pensions. The Chairman of the Social Fund Baktiyar Aliev delivered a report.
According to him, the collection of insurance payments has reached its highest level since 2021. Since this period, due to the increase in salaries of teachers, doctors, state and municipal employees, the collection of insurance premium payments has increased significantly, which has become the main factor in the growth of pensions. The Social Fund has developed a strategy for the development of Kelechek Bulagy pension system, within the framework of which a number of bills have been adopted.
At least 60 billion soms will be additionally spent on increasing pensions within three years.
Since July 1, the basic part of the pension has been increased to 3,500 soms for those, who received less than the established rate of 3,170 soms.
