The National Forum «United People — Strong Country» took place in Bishkek today. Its participants discussed issues of interethnic harmony and peace within the framework of the implementation of Kyrgyz Zharany concept.
The President sent an appeal to the participants.
Sadyr Japarov noted that to date more than 80 ethnic groups make up the united people of Kyrgyzstan and live in peace and harmony on the sacred land of Ala-Too.
«The unity and consent of our multi-ethnic people are the foundation, the most important state task and condition for the prosperity of the Kyrgyz Republic. «Yrys aldy yntymak» is the key to happiness in friendship — this instruction contains the key testament of our wise ancestors. The most important wealth of the freedom-loving people of Kyrgyzstan is our unity.
That is why we must honor the behests of our ancestors and, like the apple of our eye, cherish unity and strengthen harmony and mutual understanding.
We, the united people of the Kyrgyz Republic, together rejoice at our achievements and together endure the hardships that befall us. We all together want peace, we wish our country growth and development. Regardless of nationality, religion, origin and social status, every citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic has the same rights and responsibilities.
As a popularly elected head of state, I have established the priority task of all government bodies, leaders at all levels, to take tireless measures to strengthen national unity, strengthen interethnic harmony and friendship, increase interfaith mutual tolerance, prevent extremism and radicalism in all manifestations,» the president noted.
If one of the civil servants or someone else, regardless of rank and position, encroaches on the unity of our people, violates friendship between different ethnic groups, he or she will be held accountable to our state to the fullest extent of the law.

«I will not allow anyone to damage the unity of the people of Kyrgyzstan. You are all witnesses to how strictly and immediately law enforcement agencies today react to any statements that encroach on the national unity and integrity of our state.
Today our republic has embarked on the path of confident development. Over the course of three years, we have all been able to restore the efficiency of public administration, not in words, but in deeds, to show determination in the fight against corruption, to significantly increase revenues and achieve significant economic growth. But this is just the beginning. Today, the foundation is being laid for the rapid rise of all spheres of life in Kyrgyzstan in the coming years. The diversity and unity of the country’s people is our main wealth and asset,» the address says.
