Brutal murder in Karakol: Man kills two women

Police detained a suspect in double murder in Karakol city. Press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region reported.

«On the night of September 14, the duty unit of the Department of Internal Affairs of Karakol received a message that the bodies of two women were found in one of the apartments in Kashka-Suu microdistrict.

The investigative group found many stab wounds on the bodies during the inspection. They were identified as 56- and 57-year-old local residents. A table knife with traces similar to blood was found at the crime scene,» the statement says.

Investigators found and detained the suspect — a 44-year-old native of Karakol who had been repeatedly convicted. Drugs were also found during a search of his house.

«Substance with a specific smell of wild cannabis was found in a black sports bag on the balcony. Liquid with a specific smell of alcohol and wild-growing hemp was found in a plastic container in the bedroom,» the police department informed.

The suspect was placed in a detention center. Examinations have been scheduled. Investigation is ongoing.
