117 Kyrgyzstanis leave to work in South Korea

A total of 117 citizens of Kyrgyzstan have received an opportunity to go to South Korea for labor migration. Press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration reported.

The ministry noted that they were employed in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding between the authorized state agencies for sending and receiving labor to the Republic of Korea.

«During the period of memorandum, a total of more than 5,000 labor contracts were signed. Most of those who left work in the food, chemical, and paper industries, in the production of plastic, rubber and glass products. The average salary of migrant workers in the Republic of Korea is $1,800 with the accommodation and meals paid by the employer,» the report says.

The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration also agreed with the Korean side to organize a charter flight from Bishkek to Incheon.

«This is the second charter flight in 2022. A total of 272 people have been sent to Korea under this program since the beginning of the year,» the ministry added.
