The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey Yavuz Selim Kiran. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
According to the press service, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, including protection of rights and interests of ethnic Kyrgyz living in Turkey.
It is noted that the Kyrgyz side made a proposal about the possibility of crossing the border of the two states on the basis of a domestic passport of a citizen (ID card).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not specify how Turkey reacted to this initiative.
