Results of daily monitoring of average consumer prices for basic socially significant products showed that the cost of bread in the republic on average reached 52.76 soms per kilogram and increased by 9.9 percent compared to last year. The National Statistical Committee provided such data.
Flatbread costs on average 76.38 soms per kilogram and, compared to 2020, has risen in price by 8.1 percent.
At the same time, the most expensive bread to date is in Nookat (69.57 soms per kilogram), Toktogul (70.07 soms), Kara-Suu (75.63 soms), and the lowest cost of bread is in Karakol (41.73 soms), Tokmak (45.66 soms) and Kara-Balta (49.42 soms).
Retail prices for flatbread exceeded the national average prices in Uzgen (93.28 soms), Balykchi (93.67 soms) and Kerben (107.17 soms), and the minimum — in Karakol (47.47 soms), Naryn (62.9 soms) ) and Tokmak (65.51 soms).
The largest increase in the price of bread compared to the same date last year was registered in Talas — by 28.6 percent, Toktogul — by 25 percent and Kara-Balta — by 15 percent, and for flatbread in Toktogul — by 39.1 percent, Uzgen — by 21.3 percent and Bishkek — by 21.1 percent.
