Parliamentary elections are taking place in Kyrgyzstan. Head of the OSCE Observer Mission Dame Audrey Glover visited one of the polling stations in Bishkek. She commented on the voting process to 24.kg news agency.
Everything is going well so far, she said.
«Now, as of 11 a.m., the voter turnout at this election precinct is 78 people. It’s not bad. We hope that the turnout will be higher. I did not notice any violations or failures of equipment,» Dame Audrey Glover added.
When asked to comment on President Sadyr Japarov’s call for candidates to abandon bribery of voters and honestly participate in the election process, the head of the OSCE Observer Mission said that time would tell whether the electioneerers listened to the call.
The OSCE mission she heads includes 12 experts, 26 long-term observers, who are working throughout the country since October 26.
