President and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan held their first working meeting in 2020.
According to the press service of the head of state, Sooronbai Jeenbekov and Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev exchanged views on the results of the country’s socio-economic development for 2019, prospects for implementation of social, economic, infrastructure projects and priority strategic directions in 2020.
They also discussed measures to implement priority areas for the period up to 2023 as part of the National Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic, state policy of regional development and digitalization of the country.
The President stressed that the state policy on development of the country’s regions covered a set of measures aimed at development of the domestic economy. The goal is to reduce internal migration, which has an impact on the institution of the family. The authorities will pay special attention to strengthening family traditions in raising the younger generation.
The President and the Prime Minister discussed events within the framework of the Cross-Year of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic and the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
