Border situation. Kazakhstan begins passage of trucks

Situation on Kyrgyzstan — Kazakhstan state border is improving. The Information Support Department of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The checkpoints began to work as usual. After the accumulation of heavy trucks on Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border was registered, the Prime Minister Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev held talks with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin. The parties discussed ways to resolve the current situation.

«The competent state authorities of the two countries also regularly contacted each other and were focused on the speedy resolution of the issue. In accordance with the agreement reached and following the instructions of the Prime Minister, a delegation led by the Chairman of the State Customs Service Almaz Onolbekov was sent to Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan). All negotiations in Nur-Sultan were held in an open and constructive manner,» the message says.

From April 5, 2019, the Kazakh side began to pass heavy trucks with consumer goods in the previous mode.

«It is expected that the issue of the accumulation of heavy vehicles will be fully resolved in the coming days,» the Cabinet stressed.
