An unconscious man was found last night on the bank of Dudergofka River in St. Petersburg (Russia). He was hospitalized, but doctors could not save him from death, Russian media reported.
At about 1.00 am on April 1, a security guard of a nearby cafe found the unknown person on the bank of the river. Police and an ambulance were called to the scene.
Doctors diagnosed the patient with general hypothermia and signs of drowning in fresh water. The patient had acute cardiovascular failure, complicated by brain edema. The man died after 2.00 am.
The man is 49-year-old native of Kyrgyzstan. The police find out circumstances of the accident.
