Representatives of Kyrgyz authorities apologize to people of Sakha Republic

Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service of Kyrgyzstan, Samat Toktobolotov, asked for forgiveness for a crime committed by Kyrgyz citizens on air of Yakutsk local TV channel. Head of the Kyrgyz diaspora in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Zhazbek Bekboliev, told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, today, a delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic spoke on a local television channel and asked for forgiveness from the people of the Republic of Sakha. Now they are waiting for a meeting with the mayor of Yakutsk.

Zhazbek Bekboliev said that the delegation had met with a Kyrgyzstani suspected of the crime.

«He is a young guy; he came to Yakutia a year ago. He worked at a construction site at daytime, and in the evening he worked as a taxi driver. He does not speak Russian well, so he was provided with an interpreter. The Kyrgyzstani wrote a confession. Two more suspects were also detained. They are friends, 24-25 years old, all from Kyrgyzstan,» said the head of the diaspora.

A trial of two suspects will take place today. According to Zhazbek Bekboliev, it will be held behind closed doors.

A rally against migrants was held in Yakutia. It was caused by information about abduction and rape of a local woman by a group of migrants.

According to the Investigative Committee of Yakutsk, three unknown persons forced the woman to get into a car on Sunday morning. One of the suspects was detained.

Criminal case was opened on rape and abduction of a person charges.
