The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan deprived the Central Election Commission member Kairat Osmonaliev of diplomatic rank. He informed 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the order was signed by the now former minister Erlan Abdyldaev. He resigned on Friday, the resignation was accepted.
«This is the so-called farewell greetings from the former foreign minister. But it is completely unfounded. I received the rank in 2011 in accordance with the order of the then Foreign Affairs Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev. At that time, I was the vice rector of the Diplomatic Academy, and was assigned the status of State Adviser of the 2nd class,» said Kairat Osmonaliev.
He added that it was possible to deprive a rank only by a court decision. Kairat Osmonaliev stressed that he was ready to appeal the Foreign Ministry’s order in court, since it was illegal.
