Early parliamentary elections: CEC registers first candidates

The Central Commission for Elections and Referendums (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan registered the first candidates for early elections to the Parliament in Batken No. 2 and Kara-Suu No. 9 single-mandate constituencies. It was announced at a meeting of the CEC.

As the head of the Department for Organization of Elections Makhabat Kozhokeeva said, Baktiyar Kalpaev filed an application in the Batken constituency, in Kara-Suu — Turdubek Orunbaev.

Nomination of candidates for deputies in both constituencies will end on March 26.

Recall, early elections of deputies of Parliament in Batken and Kara-Suu single-mandate constituencies will be held on April 28. The seats became vacant after the Central Election Commission early terminated the powers of Iskender Matraimov and Nurlan Razhabaliev on the basis of their applications. Early elections will be held in the Osh single-mandate constituency on the same day. The seat became vacant after Aibek Osmonov resigned as an MP.
