Candidate for the post of speaker of the Bishkek City Council Kubanychbek Kongantiev withdrew his candidacy. The deputy Taalaibek Sagynov announced today at the session of the Bishkek City Council.
According to the regulations, only a candidate from the faction that is part of the majority coalition can become a speaker. Kubanychbek Kongantiev withdrew his candidacy.
The majority coalition nominated Zhanybek Abirov.
A new majority coalition was formed in Bishkek City Council. It includes SDPK, Onuguu-Progress, Respublika-Ata Jurt, Mekenim Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan faction remained in opposition. The deputies plan to elect a speaker today.
