The border units deployed in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan were put on combat alert. The Public Relations and Media Department of the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The service reminded about a conflict in the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the border between the residents of the border villages Bakai in Batken district and Tojikon in Isfara district of Tajikistan. The cause of the conflict was laying of water pipes by the inhabitants of Tojikon.
«The border guards of Kyrgyzstan met with their colleagues from Tajikistan on the same day. They agreed to conduct explanatory work with the population of these villages. Heads of two districts met with the residents. Talks of the heads of the regions are underway,» the State Border Service reported.
