The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov received the Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Saken Zhasuzakov. The parties exchanged views on military and military-technical cooperation.
According to the Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sooronbai Jeenbekov noted the importance of adopting joint measures to counter manifestations of international terrorism, other challenges and threats to the security of the Central Asian region.
Saken Zhasuzakov added that the military departments of the two countries would cooperate. «It is impossible to confront threats and challenges in ensuring reliable security alone. We are expected to work together to ensure security and staff training,» said Saken Zhasuzakov.
The Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Saken Zhasuzakov arrived in Kyrgyzstan to sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of military intelligence between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
