As a result of June 2018, Kyrgyzstan took the second place among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in terms of the cost of a set of six basic food products. The National Statistical Committee reported.
The food set includes one kilogram of beef, butter, bread, potatoes, one liter of milk and a dozen eggs. In Kyrgyzstan, the set costs $ 17.45.
The food set turned out to be the most expensive in Russia — $ 22.87.
In Kazakhstan, the set of the basic products costs $ 17.12, in Belarus — $ 14.32.
«In June, the lowest price for butter was registered in Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the price per kilogram of the product is lower than in Kazakhstan by 23 percent, in Russia — by 75 percent and lower than in Belarus by 46 percent,» the National Statistical Committee summed up.
