Kazakhstan plans to sell gasoline to Kyrgyzstan in autumn

Kazakhstan plans to begin deliveries of gasoline to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the autumn. Daniyar Tiesov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Transportation, Refining and Marketing of Oil at the national company of Kazakhstan KazMunaiGas, told. Vlast news outlet reported.

«As of today, we already have a significant surplus of domestic gasoline, and this surplus will grow. Kazakhstan completely meets its current needs for high-octane gasoline. And we have significant opportunities for gasoline exports,» Daniyar Tiesov said at a conference in Astana.

According to him, it is necessary for the republic to sign relevant intergovernmental documents with neighboring countries that will take some time.

«We think that starting from the autumn of this year, we will be able to safely export our products — first of all, to the neighboring countries, such as Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. The Kazakh product in these markets will be competitive due to the fact that its import will be cheaper than from Russia,» the representative of KazMunaiGas summed up.
