The measure of restraint of former prime minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov will be appealed in Bishkek City Court. The lawyer Uchkun Karimov informed 24.kg news agency.
«We are preparing documents for appealing the measure of restraint to my client. According to the law, the court decision can be appealed within five days. Sapar Isakov believes that he was chosen an excessively severe and unreasonable measure of restraint. They could not restrict his freedom, but, for example, release him under written undertaking not to leave the city or put him under house arrest,» Uchkun Karimov said.
The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek changed Sapar Isakov’s measure of restraint from a written undertaking not to leave city to detention in the pretrial detention center of the State Committee for National Security until the end of the investigation.
