Facebook users told today that April TV channel belongs to the former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the founders of the channel are Almazbek Atambayev and «April» NGO. By the way, Almazbek Atambayev also founded the NGO. The director of the channel is Dmitry Lozhnikov and the head of the NGO is Farid Niyazov.
According to Open Budget portal, earlier the channel was called Mars RTC. In February 2018, it was renamed into «April-TV.»
The TV channel has paid 920,400 soms in taxes since 2014, Open Budget portal says.
