State Duma Committee to consider ban on driving using national licenses

The Committee of the State Duma of Russia for Transport and Construction will consider the ban on driving using the national driving licenses of Kyrgyzstan. The document was sent for consideration.

The bill, which prohibits the use of Kyrgyz licenses, was initiated by Igor Lebedev, a deputy from LDPR. He introduced it on October 27, after Almazbek Atambayev’s proposal to establish the Days of History and Memory of Ancestors. On October 31, the document was sent to the profile committee.

In July, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law authorizing citizens of Kyrgyzstan to work in the Russian Federation on transport, not having Russian driver’s licenses.
