Turkish policemen face up to 4.5 years in prison for beating Kyrgyzstani

The prosecutor’s office demanded to punish the policemen who beat up a Kyrgyzstani in Alanya (Turkey) by a term in prison from 1.5 to 4.5 years. RusTurkey.com reported with reference to the Russian media.

According to it, the trial will be held on November 9. The local authorities opened a criminal case against the defendants under the Article «Abuse of office.»

The incident occurred on October 4. Two policemen in Alanya beat up a woman who turned out to be a migrant from Kyrgyzstan.

The Antalya Province Police Department began an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. The victim underwent treatment at a local hospital, and police officers were fired.
