Kyrgyzstan and Russia partially settle problems of migrants with wages

A meeting of the joint Kyrgyz-Russian working group on discussion of problematic issues of labor activity and social protection of migrant workers arising from the implementation of agreements between the governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation was held in Cholpon-Ata. This was reported by the State Migration Service of Kyrgyzstan.

 It was found out during the meeting that the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic are not paid their salaries. From January to August, 1,638 applications were received — for 66,875 million rubles.  23,907 million were collected through peaceful settlement of the issue.

Since early 2017, 365,000 Kyrgyzstanis have entered Russia, which is 27 percent more than in the same period last year. During this time, 27 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic were deported from the Russian Federation, other 3,690 were expelled.
