Visit of Almazbek Atambayev to Tashkent scheduled for early October

The visit of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev to Tashkent (Uzbekistan) is scheduled for early October. Presidential Administration confirmed this information to 24.kg news agency.

It is noted that the trip of the President will be a return visit.  He was invited to Tashkent by the leader of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a state visit to Bishkek last week. He also sent a letter of gratitude on the results of his trip to Bishkek.

The head of Uzbekistan said that he instructed the government of his country to develop and adopt in the coming days a road map for ensuring the full implementation of the agreements reached and signing a solid package of agreements following the results of negotiations and meetings.

«I look forward to your return state visit to Uzbekistan to continue our dialogue aimed at deepening the Uzbek-Kyrgyz multifaceted cooperation,» the letter reads.

It is known that within the framework of Almazbek Atambayev’s visit to Tashkent, a business forum and joint exhibition of producers of Kyrgyz and Uzbek goods will also take place.
