Shavkat Mirziyoyev about straight talk with Almazbek Atambayev

The president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the straight talk with Almazbek Atambayev. He said this yesterday during an extended meeting with his colleague.

According to him, he felt a warm attitude from the first minutes of his arrival in Kyrgyzstan. On the eve the first meetings with Kyrgyz colleagues with hokims of the regions of Uzbekistan were held. They also told the president that they had been to Kyrgyzstan before, but now they felt a completely different attitude.

«Now we are speaking the same language, as befits close neighbors. This is the achievement of Almazbek Atambayev. During our meeting in Samarkand, we frankly talked. Today we are at the closest friends, with our brotherly people. I was watching TV. There, people don’t believe that they can, as before, go to Andijon and Osh. As a leader, I really want this and I think that we are obliged to fulfill the wishes of our peoples,» Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The President of Uzbekistan also expressed hope that the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan will be successful and continuity in politics will remain. In addition, he praised the new Minister of Economy, Artem Novikov.

«I friendly envy his mood. I’m glad that you have such a spirit in the team,» he commented.
