Kyrgyzstan leads among CIS countries on protection of investors

Kyrgyzstan ranks first among the CIS countries protection of investors. This was announced at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek business forum in Bishkek by Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Artem Novikov.

According to him, in the structure of trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan occupies 4.4 percent, in exports — 6.6 percent, in imports — 3.6.

«It’s time to make our relationship more meaningful,» the minister said and urged companies from Uzbekistan to consider investing in the garment industry, processing agricultural products, tourism, engineering and medicine.

In his speech, the Minister of Economy also stressed that Kyrgyzstan occupies an important strategic location, being geographically the first stop on the way from China to Central Asia within the framework of the economic corridor China — Central Asia — West Asia.
