Speech of PM in Kazan: “Taza koom,” increasing exports and high technologies

Yesterday Kazan (Tatarstan, Russia) hosted a meeting of the intergovernmental council of heads of ministries of the Eurasian Economic Union. Kyrgyzstan chaired it.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted that the key factor of the dynamic development of the countries of the union is the technical re-equipment and introduction of high technologies in the perspective directions of the economy. At the same time, he stressed that the stability of economies in the crisis depends on the active development of priority sectors, the introduction of innovative technologies, as well as mobility management.

«Digital transformation is necessary. In Kyrgyzstan, at the initiative of President Almazbek Atambayev, a long-term strategy for sustainable development of the country for the period up to 2040 is being developed. One of the important components of the strategy is a high-tech project «Taza koom." It is designed to solve the key tasks of the country’s transformation to the digital economy," Sooronbay Jeenbekov said.

The head of the Kyrgyz government is sure that such a strategy will help the union in the long term to become a developed integration association with a dynamically developing economy that has attractiveness for investors and, ultimately, a comfortable space for people’s lives.

Also Sooronbay Jeenbekov drew attention to the need to strengthen the potential of each country. And to do this it is proposed to show successful examples of creating regional production chains. One also should think about how to reduce the time costs when processing documents and passing the relevant procedures.

As for the growth of the economy, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan sees as one of the important factors an opportunity for increasing the volume of exports to both the EEU countries and to third countries. Among the branches of the economy, Sooronbay Jeenbekov emphasized agriculture.

We stand for the joint development of effective agricultural chains within the framework of the EEU from the commodity producer to the consumer.

«The application of innovations in agriculture is particularly relevant for increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the products of the agro-industrial complex and ensuring the food security of our countries. Kyrgyzstan welcomes joint research and development in the field of application of genetic engineering and biotechnology, technical and information support in the water sector," he stressed.

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan focused on the fact that in order to attract the necessary resources, the government will continue to work on improving the investment attractiveness of the republic and targeted investing in projects of a national scale aimed at developing the economy.
