Kyrgyzstan to be able to purchase weapons directly from Russian plants

Kyrgyzstan will be able to negotiate directly with Russian defense enterprises on the supply of arms, the presidential aide on the military-technical cooperation Vladimir Kozhin said yesterday on the air of the TV channel «Russia 24.»

According to him, both countries plan to sign an agreement on the development of military-technical cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). Note, Russia has already signed such agreements with other CSTO partners — Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia.

Earlier, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev told reporters after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that Moscow and Bishkek are considering the issue of increasing arms supplies.
