China will build a 600-megawatt solar power plant in Batken region. The National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a memorandum with the Chinese company CECEP Solar Energy.
This project will be one of the largest in Central Asia in the field of renewable energy. Its implementation is aimed at reducing Kyrgyzstan’s dependence on traditional energy sources, strengthening the country’s energy security and supporting climate commitments.
New jobs will also be created and infrastructure development in the region will be intensified.
CECEP Solar Energy is a subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, which specializes in green technologies.
