According to unofficial data, more than 40,000 Kyrgyzstanis live in Chicago’s consular district. Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Chicago Bolotbek Borbiev said at a meeting of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Parliament.
The consular district of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission includes 31 US states: Idaho, Iowa, Arizona, Arkansas, Wyoming, Washington, Wisconsin, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, California, Kansas, Kentucky, Colorado, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, North Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, South Dakota and Utah.
