A working visit of the Kyrgyz delegation, headed by the Director of the State Agency for Civil Aviation Dastan Bostonov, took place in Qatar on the initiative of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
During the visit, bilateral meetings were held between Dastan Bostonov and the Minister of Transport of the State of Qatar, Mr. Jassim bin Saif Al-Sulaiti, the Director General of Civil Aviation of Qatar, Mr. Mohammed bin Falih Al-Hajiri, the Director General of the Qatar Aeronautical Academy, Sheikh Jabir bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Vice President for Aviation Policy of Qatar Airways, Mr. Fathi Ati.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the opening of regular direct flights between the cities of Bishkek and Doha in the near future and the exchange of experience in the field of aviation, including the training and advanced training of young personnel.
The Qatari side emphasized its interest in developing cooperation in the field of aviation with the Kyrgyz side and expressed their readiness to open regular direct flights between the capitals of the two countries in the near future.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue close cooperation in order to further implement the agreements reached during the negotiations.
