School teacher and his brother beat up seventh-grader in Issyk-Kul region

A school teacher and his brother beat up a seventh grade student in Kalkagar village, Ton district of Issyk-Kul region. A relative of the victim, Ibarat Turatbekova, told 24.kg news agency.

The incident occurred on June 11 at about 8 p.m.

«The children started a fight during a game, and my nephew Ilgiz started to break up the fight. Then everyone left. When my nephew was at home, a friend called him and called him outside. Behind the school, on the football field, he was met by two men — the uncles of the boy whom Ilgiz’s friend had beaten. One of them, Torokeldi, works as a music teacher at the Nogoy Sadykov secondary school. He is 33 years old. He hit Ilgiz on the head several times, after which he fell. Then 34-year-old Uluk, the teacher’s brother, began to beat the boy. Two adults severely beat the child. The next day Ilgiz was taken to the hospital. The doctors said that he had a severe concussion,» Ibarat Turatbekova told.

In addition, she added, when villagers and relatives of the victim turned to school teacher Torokeldi Rysmendiev after the beating, he reacted aggressively and threatened Ilgiz’s uncle with reprisal. Ibarat Turatbekova demands justice and punishment for the school teacher and his brother to the full extent of the law.
