The Golden Collection of CIS Films includes ten films from Kyrgyzstan. Telegram channel of the Russian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
According to it, the project was created with the support of the Council for Cultural Cooperation of the CIS Member States on the basis of a 1995 agreement on cooperation in the field of cinematography.
The goal is to introduce modern audiences to the classics of national cinema of the Commonwealth countries, including through film festivals and other events.
The Golden Collection includes 89 films from eight CIS countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan).
The golden collection includes ten films by Kyrgyz filmmakers:
- «Difficult Crossing» (1964);
- «The First Teacher» (1965);
- «The Sky of Our Childhood» (1966);
- «Mother’s Field» (1967);
- «Shot at Karash Pass» (1968);
- «Scarlet Poppies of Issyk-Kul» (1971);
- «Urkuya» (Bow to the Fire) (1972);
- «Red Apple» (1975);
- «White Steamer» (1975);
- «Kozhozhash» (Descendant of the White Leopard) (1983).
