The Committee on Law and Order, Combating Crime and Corruption of the Parliament considered implementation of the Law on Combating Corruption and the results of the work of the Penitentiary Service to combat corruption.
The information was provided by Deputy Chairman of the State Penitentiary Service Kemel Sadykov.
Deputy Dinara Ashimova asked how many cases have been initiated against employees of the service due to corruption.
«There is no article specifically on corruption, but there is one for extortion and negligence,» the deputy chairman of the State Penitentiary Service said.
According to him, a criminal case was opened against one employee for taking a bribe, and three for negligence.
