Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with top management of China National Electric Engineering Company (CNEEC), including the Chairman of the Board of Directors Wu Guisheng. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The main topic of discussion was the construction of a hydropower plant, which could become an important source of clean energy for the republic. The parties expressed mutual interest in this project, as it is not only an economically profitable enterprise, but also contributes to the development of a clean energy source in the region.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company Wu Guisheng emphasized that CNEEC is ready to make substantial investments in the construction of the hydropower plant, which not only contributes to the development of the energy sector in Kyrgyzstan, but will also create jobs and promote the social and economic development of the country.
The parties also discussed important aspects of transition to green energy and sustainable development, which were raised at the recent COP28 conference in Dubai.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers expressed full support for initiatives aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and developing clean energy sources. Both sides expressed their readiness to contribute to global efforts to combat climate change.
Wu Guisheng emphasized that CNEEC considers environmental sustainability issues as a priority and is ready to provide advanced technologies and experience in the field of clean energy for the successful implementation of projects in Kyrgyzstan.
