Consuls of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan visited more than a thousand prisons during the year. Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev announced at a press conference.
According to him, ministry employees held explanatory conversations with the migrants held there.
«Our diplomats took statements from prisoners about whether they wanted to be transferred to Kyrgyzstan. The laws were explained to the convicts. They were warned that they would face criminal liability if they took part in hostilities,» Jeenbek Kulubaev said.
He told that private military organizations were trying to recruit Kyrgyzstanis. «Yes, at the beginning of 2022 such information was received. We immediately contacted the Russian government so that in the future they would not call our compatriots to arms in this way,» the Foreign Minister noted.
