«The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan sets itself five tasks for the coming years,» Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov said at a press conference today.
According to him, first of all, the Cabinet will continue the policy of strengthening institutional capacity in the field of financial management and administrative reform. The second direction is improving the quality of services in the education and healthcare systems as the basis for innovative development. These are investments in human capital.
«Our kids in the middle of the century have to be competitive. We must make sure that they are in no way inferior to their peers from all over the world. They will not compete with each other, but with children from other continents,» Edil Baisalov noted.
The Cabinet will also focus on development and implementation of a strategy to promote sustainable growth, enhance collaboration with international partners to mobilize resources and harness new technologies, and promote environmental sustainability, mitigation and adaptation to global climate change.
