The Forum of Medical Associations of Kyrgyzstan began its work in Bishkek. Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov addressed the audience and called on doctors to be proud of and respect their profession.
According to him, representatives of medical associations are people from one of the leading trade unions and civil society in general.
«Do you know who is dictating now? I am amazed. Someone somewhere on Facebook, semi-literate, writes something, and his opinion is perceived as the opinion of the people. Many people believe that the Kyrgyz people are such semi-savage people. But they are not like that. They just distributed microphones to everyone,» the official said.
He reproached the doctors for being silent.
«Professionals, highly qualified specialists remain silent, obviously afraid that the crowd will trample them. But the very bottom speaks on behalf of the people. These are not people. Those who have achieved this right should speak on behalf of the people,» Edil Baisalov said.
