Health Ministers of Russia and Kyrgyzstan discuss training of medical personnel

As part of the XXXVI meeting of the Council for Cooperation in the Field of Healthcare of the CIS Countries, the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev met with his Russian colleague Mikhail Murashko. The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The parties discussed priority areas of cooperation — staffing, exchange of experience between specialists from the two countries in various fields, the pharmaceutical industry and drug supply.

Alymkadyr Beishenaliev noted that cooperation with the Russian side is active, many joint projects and plans are being implemented. An intergovernmental agreement in the field of healthcare and medicine on cooperation in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population is being prepared for signing.

«There is fruitful cooperation in the field of oncology through Rosatom OJSC. In October, together with the corporation, we opened a nuclear medicine department at the National Center for Oncology and Hematology,» he said.

Mikhail Murashko stressed the need for general measures to increase the potential of personnel. «In my opinion, cooperation on the comprehensive development of the healthcare system remains fragmented. This could be the treatment of diseases, development of the pharmaceutical industry and the provision with medicines. The Russian Federation regularly opens new pharmaceutical plants and produces its own medicines, including drugs for cancer patients, which allows them to abandon imported analogues,» he said.

The parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the field of healthcare in such areas as training of medical personnel and advanced training, pharmaceuticals, purchase of medicines, direct cooperation with manufacturers of medical equipment and medicines.
